I bought and put on a fuel filter and it was longer than the one that was on. After researching I read that the 01 s60 changed parts mid year and that my chasis # meant that I should have gotten the 3.25" filter instead of the 5.25". My question is: Is this a problem? Should I get the shorter filter or
will it make a difference if I wait till the next filter change?

 

Can't you exchange the filter?

 

I doubt it since it's already on the car. Just wanted to know if it was safe. Techs any input??

 

Less Filter area, might cause a restriction down the road.
