fuel pump?
Hello, I posted a thread earlier about an electrical issue, "Electrical power system service needed" showing on my message screen on my 02 S60 auto with 112k on her.I load tested the battery and the charging system and it tests fine.
Anyways, I think I have determined that i have a bad fuel pump. My question is, where is the pump, how much is the pump, labor and can I do this my self, AND if the pump is in the tank, does the tank have to come down or is there an access hole to get to it thru the floor. Had a Land Rover and a few other Euro cars that had that feature, made it real easy to change pumps.
Also is there any relays that may cause the pump to stop working? The car starts and runs fine for about ten minutes then shuts off and won't restart, it cranks, but won't restart for a couple of minutes then restarts and runs again for about ten minutes, and so on.
I was told that Volvo has some kind of recall or update on these pumps, if so how do i determine that?
Any help would be great
thanks
Tony
