Default Going on a trip what should I check before I go

Im going on a trip in a couple weeks. I'm gonna put about 1,500 miles on my car in about four days. I'll be driving in desert environments the entire time. I only ask this because my car is older. A 2001 S60 with about 96,000 miles.
I just had the timing belt replaced and changed the oil about 1000K ago so I'm fine on that. My dad said to check all of the fluid levels, the hoses, and the tires. Is there anything else I should check. P.S. my car runs great I've already done the 95K service I did it at 85. I know this isn't relevant to this but I had another question. When my car is in reverse it squeals when I'm moving and my e-brake is off. Do I need to lube something up I drive through a lot of dusty conditions.

Have a quick inspection done somewhere.
The brakes may be making the noise.
