Hey there,
After looking at Volvos for months now, new and used, found a deal too good to pass up. Picked up a 2011 S60 T6, so far quite impressed. Its a one owner car, dealer maintained, and only a mere 20k on the odo.
It has a GPS mount on the drivers A-pillar for a removable Garmin, although the GPS unit itself is not there. I was wondering what models will fit? Does it have to be the original, I believe nuvi 3790 was used, and they seem unavailable and way overpriced when I can find one.
Thanks, Mak

It's a Volvo only accessory, sold only through dealers. I contacted Garmin over the weekend and they just got back to me, apparently they don't sell them directly either and don't have any even if I could get it ordered through the dealer. Suggested I try Amazon and eBay, which only have a couple examples and are at quite outrageous prices.
Im going to look into making it into a mount for my iPhone now, google maps will work just fine. I'll put up a post with the details if I get it to work.

No worries, appreciate any help I can get. Pretty much decided to just ditch the idea of finding a GPS that fit the mount.
I removed the backing clip thats snapped on the ball mount, used the backing clip off my current Garmin which snapped right on the ball. Then I disassembled the wiring into the original mount tapped the wires for power and spliced on a micro USB. Now I'm going to pick up a couple short adapters that go from micro to mini USB for the Garmin, one from micro USB to lightning for the iPhone. Then try to figure a mount out for the iPhone that can snap onto the Garmin ball mount and be done with it.
