Default Help! Loud clanking sound

I have a 2001 S60 with 101K miles and recently have notice a loud clanking sound coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle when going over any sized bumps in the road.

I am trying to figure out what this could be, if it is something I can replace myself or where other than the dealer to get this serviced. The dealer charges way too much here for the simplest of things.

Thanks for any help, advice and info!

It might be a torn upper spring seat (rubber strut bushing). I recently got both sides done on my car at a Volvo specialist for about $440... the dealer quoted me $450 per side. I've heard of other Volvo dealerships charging a lot more than that too.

most likely its just a end link bushing, easy to replace with some hand tools
