Hi could anyone advise me best way to tell if stop neutral is still active? i have an s60 t5 geartronic 2000 model x reg, was it just 01 and 02 models that were affected??? i put in on a steep hill in drive and applied footbrake for a while then released brake and didnt touch accelerator and car did't roll back? does this mean its disabled? on a level surface if i apply footbrake, then release that without touching accelerator should it creep forward? any help would be most appreciated as want to conserve the transmission, my previous car was auto s70 t5. that crept in drive and reverse modes????? many thanks all

it should be creeping and shouldn't roll back so i think you're good.
still, there are new updates for the tranny software that could improve shifting and help preserve the tranny. up to 2002 models had the stop neutral by default so yours has been updated at least once but it's still worth checking with the dealer if you have the latest software.
