Hi all im new to this Vovlo forum...

I have an s60 and the other day i put it into reverse and it just stopped moving after couple feet. then i placed it in drive and it sputtter and went about ten feet then stopped. It is low on fluid so i topped off the tranny hoping that solved the problem but it did not seem to do much of anything.. car will go forward but not far and no reverse at all......

every transmission shop I called says the trans is not worth rebuilding and is cheaper to buy used with 90 day warranty..

im short on cash tough times economy wise right now and need this car to get me by at least another 6 months.. I have a chance to swap a s80 2.5 turbo auto.. any suggestions if this would be way to big of a job to take on.. do i have to swap comptuer also or can I just straight swap the transmission.

option 1 3000.00 for used 90 day warranty trans installed

option 2 2000.00 breakdown 800 for trans and motor from s80 and 1200 to install
input on this would be most welcomed...
