Default Help with warning light

Hey guys

New on here but need you geeky guidance.

I had the SRS air service urgent light on. Went to volvo and they told me it was the R/H seat belt buckle that needed replacement. I fiddled with the plug to see if it was maybe a loose connection. Now I have a new situation

I still have the SRS light on, but now the red icon on the dashboard that looks like a pregnant guy ( see attached picture )

What do I do to get rid of this

Thank you in advance

Hi and welcome to the site.

I guess you need to replace the seat belt on the seat belt on the R/H side. Anytime you mess with a seat belt plug or air bag plug you need to disconnect the battery first (and some say wait 30 minutes). If you fail to do that you will cause the pregnant guy to appear on the dash.

By the way, that guy will only go away with a Volvo specific or other high quality code reader (reset). So, I suggest you replace the belt and go to a place that can rescan the system and clear the code.

If you need help getting a used belt PM me.

So they told you you needed the buckle, you didn't replace it and the warning light is still on?

That would be because the buckle was not replaced...

As I Said EST6 i was checking the plugs.

Anyways RSPI would be great but I'm in the UK. so with shipping, customs ect I think it will be equally cheap to buy a new one :-(
