Default High beam wont stay on in auto mode?

The high beams will not stay on when I pull the turn signal stalk forward. (All the way...) The high beam will flash but not stay onwith the light switch in the 'auto' position. (Horizontal or "O" position).

If I put the switch in the manuallow beam position, (2 clicks up) the high beam will toggle on/off when I pull the turn signal stalk.

This doesn't seem normal, andI don't recall this being a problem before. Can anyone comment or correct what ever I might be doing wrong here?

TIA

The owner's manual could be a little more explicit on this point. However, to keep the high beams 'on' the light switch must be on the headlight setting, not auto.

The auto setting only switches on the low beam lights as dictated by the ambient light conditions.

Thanks for reply. It's good to know nothing is actually wrong! And yes, I agree, the manual could be a little clearer on this point.

Thank you very much!

(Yes. The manual could've used some edits for clarity. Thank You to everyone for answering even/especially the 'simple questions')
