Default Headlght high beams work when I pull the lever back, but wont stay on

When I pull my high/low beam lever/dip switch back, the high beams come on, but only stay on if I continue to pull the lever back. As soon as I release the lever, they return to low beams. Thinking my high/low beam/directional lever has a broken detent for holding the high beams on.

Anyone else experienced this? is there a fix, or do I just buy a new switch/lever?

Turn your headlight switch on.

You may have a bad relay if your head lights are already on. If the switch is off and the day running lights are on, the high beams will not work.

Is your Light Switch in the 12 O'clock position?

The "high beams" will only stay engaged once you turn the light switch from the 9 O'clock position to the 12 O'clock position.

If the problem persists perhps another member has a solution.

Locate your digits around the circular control apparatus on the lower port side of your dash, and supply clockwise torque to move said device through a 90 degree rotational movement until a second detent is perceived. Upon completing this procedure, the headlight operation should resume its normal bifurcated operation.

I noticed my V70 has this same problem. I was really confused, until I turned the lights on.
