Default how long should control arm bushing last

I replaced both front lower control arms spring this year with Meyle from FCP. Now, less than 10000 miles and maybe 6 months later, the front bushing is already torn again. Is it me or is this "normal?" I know they are prone to tearing, but this is ridiculous. I can do the replacement fairly simply, but the cost and time is unacceptable. I would almost have to replace the control arm every 2 oil changes depending on how pristine I want to keep it. Letting it go is not an option either as the alignment will then be off and tire wear will then become an issue.

That is not normal. Contact FCP for a warranty claim.

I've read that most replacement bushings last just like yours. Most recommend going either for original Volvo bushings (perhaps look in a scrap yard), or for polyurethane bushings.

Thumbs up for both of you. I'm going to try to do a FCP return, buy a better arm, and see if it lasts longer.
