Default Hunting for Idle - Oil Trap Assembly?

I took my 04 S60 2.5T in for service. It has just a tick under 100k on it. I have had an issue where it will hunt for idle. It's not as bad when the engine is cold but after it warms up it gets pretty noticeable. (like bucking when in reverse with no throttle!)

The dealer, who I trust, said that the oil trap assembly is either full or clogged. Either way they want $500 to replace/repair it. They said you have to take off the intake manifold at the same time. Does this sound right?

Also - not that my car is out of warranty I want to find a good shop here in Phoenix. Does anyone know of a good Volvo shop? I need rear brakes right away (dealer wanted $334 including rotors - is that a good price?) I'd also like to get the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, etc done.

Thank you everyone! You are all very helpful.

Daniel

It is possible that is causing it. I would think it should be way less than $500.00.

The brakes sound pretty good though.
