so im sitting there right, in drive at arbys (oh ya) anyways. So im sitting there in drive foot on the brake and my RPMS are around 1k, but they keep going down and going up all the time and i can feel it in my engine, any help?

 

Is the AC on? in my 01 s60 the RPMs go up and down from 500-1100 when the AC is on and I am idling... I thin cars just do this when I idling with the AC on. My S60 is just a bit more noticeable

 

nope, and it seems to only do it when the car is on a hot start or i have been driving it for more then 30 minutes

 

I would clean the throttle body and see if that fixes it.

 

ok this may help you guys a little bit more, it only does it in drive and when im sitting there, i ALSO noticed it only happens when im getting fast food (which means sitting in drive holding the brake for a long period of time, it seems like the lights in the dash dim when it serges

 

Has the neutral control been disabled by the Dealer yet?

 

i have no clue, i just bought it 2 months ago, and it hasnt been to a dealer yet, its weird, its like really slight but the rpms do drop and raise, its weird and i can feel it

 

Also is the A/C on when this happens?

 

no its not

 

I would see if the neutral control has been disabled. The Dealer should be able to run the Vin# and tell you if it has been done.

 

ok thanks tech, ill let you know how it goes. ya it doesnt seem like when im in drive for at a red light and let the brake off 2 go it has to shift back into spot
