i have just bought my s60 , its a 2.4ts 2001 , i luv the car however when the car is sitting stationary and running idle it reve from 600rpm to 1500, there is no problem when i drive or change gear , there ar no msgs on the computer saying there is a problem , i need help as to what sensor if any i need to clean or replace, any help in the right direction would be very much appreciated ,,,,, richie

 

do a search on electronic throttle control on this car. That could be the prob.. Also make sure u have the latest software update on your tranny.

don't buy a new one yet, clean the TB and see what happens then decide from there.
