Default idle too high please help

I have an 03 volvo s60. I recently hit a dog and burst my radiator and had to replace the engine. Bought a used engine and had it put in my car. Now the car is idling too high. I was told the the computer on my car should set the idle and i should drive it thru the weekend and see if it will set it. It's only gotten worse. Feels like its just gonna take off when I am sitting at red light with foot on brake. Does anyone know what needs to be done? I get the impression that the mechanics that put engine in have no idea where to go from here. Thanks

What was it the same motor that was in your car before?
What motor did you have and what motor went it (year, displacement, turbo or N/A ect..)
Have the car scanned via the OBD II port to see if there any codes that are stored in the car.
Your car can have problems and store codes without setting off the CEL.

ah this is really a veig issue
check your hoses/clamps make sure they are all good, check around your intake for leaks with some carb cleaner
take out your throttle body and clean it

if any of this dosent fix it perhaps get your computer reflashed

My Car is a 2.4L turbo s60. The same Kind of motor went back in it. They did scan the car and no codes came up but it's gotten worse over the weekend and now the check engine light is on. I literally felt like the car hopped me home from work tonight. it's kinda jerking or missing when I accelerate.
