I resolved this December 2010 but I never uploaded pics and I realized it wasn't my thread to upload pics on so I figured I would start a new thread and get a record going.

Basically my interior door handle broke. One day I grabbed it to open the door and there was no more tension and I had to open the door from the outside if I wanted to get out. Ended up being some plastic part that had broken that was essential to providing the tension the mechanism needed to allow me to OPEN MY DOOR!

Anywhoo, a few drilled holes and some fancy wiring pattern later I've had a solid fix for the last 2 years. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself......)

Hi, I had the exact same problem , on back passenger door, I dont know what i did but i went to pull it open ....and now the exterior door handle wont open, there is no tension it goes all the way....can any one please help me , so i can open my back door again....thanks your words were the same i posted but i guess i posted in wrong place..
