I keep hearing about thieves pulling a signal from your key fob and using it to steal your car. I get mixed results when researching it. Can any one who understands the technology comment. I personally doubt that it can be done with the handshaking and randomization but I’m not an expert

 

yeah, i've seen videos of people supposedly doing this. not sure if they're real or just clickbait. would be interested to hear from someone who actually works in car security
