Default Keyless Entry remote

Hey,
I just bought an S60 (01) and it did not come with the keyless entry. I was wondering if I bought a keyless remote off ebay like this:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/VOLVO-S80-S60-945...item35a7fb29ae

would it work? I know you have to turn the ignition from I to II 5 times then press a button, but I have found conflicting information saying you have to take it to a dealer so they can program, etc.
Just wondering if anyone has programmed one themselves using something like this on ebay. I dont really want to spend 200 dollars just so I can enter my car easier.

You can buy it, but the dealer must program it.

The programming procedure that you're referring to (turning the key on / off 5 times) is the common procedure for programming most AFTERMARKET keyless entry / remote start remotes. This procedure is almost certainly not going to work for the OEM remote. So, just like everything else Volvo puts on these cars, they'll have to program it for you.

Would it be cheaper to buy an aftermarket remote then? What brand would you recommend?

An after market remote will not work with the vehicles existing receiver. It would only make sense to get an after market remote if you have (or are going to have) a remote starter installed.
