Stationed overseas and recently purchased S60 t5. So far I have not put the plastic key into the ignition switch. I just keep it in my pocket. I'm new at this so : Am I doing something wrong by not using the plastic key?

If I recall correctly, you would have to insert the fob into the dashboard slot if the battery in the fob were dead. Also, if you have the car valet parked, be sure to put the fob in the slot or hand it to the valet; otherwise the valet will likely be upset with you later
