Knocking When clutch is disengaged

when you say the clutch is engaged - you mean the pedal is out (meaning power is going through the clutch into the transmission)? if you are hearing odd sounds when the pedal is pressed down and the clutch is disengaged), then the likely causes are the throw out bearing or possibly something in the pressure plate, fly wheel or clutch plate. Any sense of drag when shifting gears to suggest the clutch is not fully disengaging?

yes sorry i hear the noise when the clutch is up and when i clutch in the knock stops
