Liqui Moly
I'm seeing more and more advertising from 3rd party shops (including the one I go to) about this product. Anyone have any experience with it? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
I use Liqui Moly synthetic 5W40 in the 2003 BMW 325i M54 engine with 90K miles. It runs fine.
I use Valvoline synthetic 10W30 in my 2004 Volvo V70 2.5T with 110K miles. It also runs fine.
Personally, I see no difference except for price.
- Valvoline synthetic 10W30 5qt jug at Walmart is about $24.
- Liqui Moly synthetic 5W40 5qt jug is about $37 at NAPA. However, most NAPA stores have the 30% OFF sales on the 2nd Saturday of the month (30% before 9AM, 20% for the rest of the day on the 2nd Sat), this brings the price down to $28.
Up to you.
Make sure you read Amazon reviews on both Valvoline and Liqui Moly.

your owners manual will show which oil standards are required in your car - you can then look up by product to see if they are covered. As you'd expect, the premium brands cover all specs.
