Default Liquid under passenger placemat

Hopefully some of you knowledgeable people would be able to assist.

I noticed something very strange. I have a 2002 Volvo S60 T5, and saw the other day some greenish, oily liquid under the front passenger seat's placemat. I have no idea what the liquid is, or where it came from, but it was quite a lot. Covering the placemat area about 2mm deep. It looks a little like antifreeze, but I may be wrong here. I dried it up using a few newspapers, pressing down on it.

Where could it have come from? It had to have from under the carpet as there is nothing visible anywhere other that under the placemat. Could it be the gearbox oil or something? Just a guess from someone who doesnt know anything about cars :-).

Feedback much appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback! Have you had a similar experience? If you don't mind could you explain to me what the 'heater core sprung' is, and what it does. Is this an urgent matter, or can it wait?

What should I refill/topup, as something has clearly leaked.

Thanks again!
