Electric buffer liquid?
Supp people, can any one tell we what liquid you would recomend with a drill buffer to make the paint shine. I have a 1995 green or teal green volvo and you can see very lightly white spots, it sort of looks like a calcium residue when water drys. I tried to buff it out by hand but it wont come out.

RE: Electric buffer liquid?
Hello Mr. Viraaj,
Greetings from Chicagoland.
I've been using the following method to make my car look nice/spot free:
1. Good hand wash (automatic wash wipes out a coat of wax immediately, and may scratch the paint) with typical car-washing soap.
2. If the paint is in good condition (like yours), I would first try hand-polishing with plastic polish compound.
3. If the above fails, the next option is to hand-polish with rubbing compound. Be careful, this stuff is usually used on badly weathered finish, so use a little bit and hand polish. This gets rid of most stains.
4. Professionally repainted ($$$).
5. Pretend that the stains are no longer there.
6. Experiment with different liquids, EXCEPT alcohol-based ones such as brake fluids. Try Coca-Cola, lemonade, green tea, Evian, maple syrup, vinegar, etc... Certain extent of blending may be necessary. You might find a magical cure and become a hero on this board, or keep it as a secret home-recipe if you prefer.
Good luck,
JPN
