Looking for an S60
Like the title says, can anyone give me the opinion on an S60. Specifically any years that are more desirable than others, years to avoid, common issues, etc.
The reason I ask is that my wife wants to replace her 2001 XC-70 in the spring and she really wants an S60. Budget is going to be around 15K, so.... We are looking at 2005 and up right now. I would LOVE to put her in an R, but moneywise........you know.
We have had Volvo's for years and currently have the XC and an 850 Turbo, so I am no stranger to them. I also do 90% of my own work on them.
Thanks for any advice. And yes, before anyone says it, I did do a search, but did not come up with any specific recommendations.
Again, Thanks.
Glenn

Consumer Reports says the '06 FWD is a good and "approved" choice. I have a 2006 S60 2.5T, purchased new and it just turned 277,000 kms. Totally trouble free, I run synthetic oil and change it every 12,000 kms. I always service it at Volvo as I have a dealer within 2 kms from my office, BTW, I clock nearly 300 kms on daily commute and this is my 5th Volvo. It has proven to be reliable, fun to drive and fairly economical to operate, enjoy.
