Map update problem
-On my recently acquired 2015 V60
There are a lot of twists and turns finding one's way through the myriad versions of the Sensus system. It would appear that my car is a 2015.5 - it has the built-in modem with internet connection capabilities. I started with a new 32G USB drive, formatted it as FAT32 and downloaded the update. I plug it in and the system responds that it is updating. At various times ( 10-20 min) later, (I have tried this several times) I get a message that the update failed, USB memory unreadable - press exit. I follow that instruction and the screen reverts to "System Updating" script. I have also tried it using an exFAT format - same result. The file size on the USB drive is about 15G.
I have osed this question to the Volvo tech service but, aside from asking me if I used an empty 32G FAT32 USB stick, no response.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi I had the same problem and found the solution on other pages. I have a 2015.5 V60 and just did the 12/19 update in June 2020. After a few minutes of the update starting with the USB, it would say unable to complete. I would keep hitting button to accept the message, but it would continue to update. The progress bar at the bottom would continue updating where it left off. After about 1.5 hours in the car, it finally worked. I probably got the message 15 times, but it kept working. And I finally got the update complete.
