Hi, it really depends on your skill and available tools and work location.
If you have a safe place and tools it should take maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Once the wheels are off you have a couple clips and pins and the pads are out. There are many companies that make brake pads, get the best you can afford. I purchased my from Autozone and they did not fit without doing some grinding on the new pad.
You will need to bleed the system a little, can you do that ?
Now... I worked in aircraft hydraulic for 25 years think nothing of doing this.
I would check with a local shop that works on Volvos for a price.
