Default My 2012, S60 is burning oil

I have viewed some threads on this forum but would like to know est. pricing for the cylinder leak down test. I was hoping not to have difficulties with this Volvo as the older ones lasted forever! If this will become a problem, I'm wondering what else will go wrong with this 2012 S60. I checked the recall list and found nothing for my VIN #, so guess I had the oil pressure gauge replace already, though I don't recall that to be the case.

I drive infrequently since I'm retired, but would like to know how much of a concern this oil burning/leaking should be. I've been adding 2 quarts between oil changes, so I'm concerned about this. My last oil change was 2 months ago and I just added 1 qt!!! This concerns me greatly.

Suggestions?

The 2012 engine was plagued with a badly designed PCV (not to be confused with a similar problem in the older models). A redesigned PCV should be available. The part is easy to replace. If the part is quickly replaced it may solve the issue. If the repair is delayed too much, the engine pistons and rings will need replaced (very costly). If left untreated the oil consumption may increase.
