Default My 2013 S60 T5 AWD

I recently traded in my 2012 S60 T5 FWD with 18,000 miles on it. When we originally bought it they only offered the FWD option on the T5, you had to buy up $7,000 to get the AWD T6.

The 2012 was ok, but there were some worries that have been well documented by various owners in this thread:

Traded in the 2012 for the 2013 S60 T5 AWD on 12/31, the dealer obviously had incentive to close another deal by year end AND Volvo was ending Safe & Secure effective year end, so factoring in free scheduled maintenance for 5 years it wasn't too big a pill to swallow.

So far so good. This vehicle has totally different feel to it than the FWD version, with the added weight and AWD it feels it lot more like a solid Mercedes in road handling and steering wheel feedback.

After 2,000 miles in 6 weeks haven't had any issues at all with this car, thank gawd - that's compared to 4 times in the shop in the first month with the 2012. You'd think with modern manufacturing methods the old adage would be passe', but I guess it's still true - buying a car in the first model year is a crapshoot. Very happy to be in this vehicle instead.

Got a T6 2011 S60 and a 2012 T6 S60-R (sold my civic for my 60-R after driving my wifes every weekend, fun cars), both have had no issue outside of the dealer not knowing how to upgrade to the senses 3.0 formatting my nav/ entertainment system. I'd take a T6 over the T5 as your looking at a belt change at 125k on that model. T6's use a timing chain.

On the high horsepower Volvo cars an AWD is a must, I can't stand the front wheels every time I try to accelerate.
