I am buying my first volvo and s60 http://www.chicagolandauto.com/info.php?id=802. My dad had over 300K miles on his, so I figured I would give one a try. Anyways, this is a 2002 and just wanted to find out what problem are common among this year and model. Any feedback would be great before I buy this car.

Welcome. From the description it seems to be a NA engine and not a Turbo. There was a recall on the ETM's for this year. It has a 10 yr./200K mile warranty. If it has not been fixed you will need to go to a Volvo dealer to have this work done (No Charge). Only other problems I've had are ****ling electrical things with the door locks. Otherwise no problems. If the timing belt assembly has not been changed I would have that done ASAP. The owners manual says 105K for this but everyone will tell you around 70K - 80K.
