Default My wheel won't go back on, I know why, but I need your input because this is weird,

Went to switch to my summer tires and rims today (summer uses stock rims, winter are aftermarket). Got 3 of 4 done, then went to the passenger front and for the life of me couldn't get the wheel to mount up to the hub. Thinking I was out of my mind, I went and took the driver front wheel off to see if anything looked different and lo and behold, it looks like something has gone awry with the passenger side where the ring I mount the wheel onto has expanded??? The driver side is around 2.25" across, the passenger side is now around 2.75" across. How does something like that happen? I think this means I need to replace the axle shaft, right? Or is it just a wheel bearing? Pics attached for reference.

Thanks!

Brian

FYI- figured it out- I'm a dope. The centering ring for my winter wheel had stuck to the hub. Got it off, summer wheel went on no problem.
