Name that noise....
Hola.
bought a 04 2.4 Turbo almost two years ago. Has been a pretty solid car except for one thing...Every morning when my wife drives to work, slows down to merge with traffic on a slight incline, somewhere between 1500-2000 rpms the car squeals. I've taken the car in a couple times to the dealer and gone through the senario with them but I always get the "Could not verify noise".
Is this a new one?
Thank You,
Frank

Hola right back at ya.
Alot of times squeals are caused from belts. I hate to steer you to another site but take a look at this person's video clip and see if it resembles this: belt noise. I hate when the car doesn't act up in the presence of the tech. It's like it knows when to behave.

Agreed.
Yes check the accessory drive belt to see if you can spot glazing, which indicates belt slippage. This could be caused either by poor-quality aftermarket parts or the belt tensioner that is getting tired. Also, with the belt off, try turning each pulley (some may not be movable by hand) to see if they make noise or if you can feel some play.
Good luck,
JPN
