I am posting these pics in hopes that someone will help me figure out if this is a big issue or a small issue. This car is for my teenage son
pics show tubing by radiator. Is this normal? Is this normal? The lady said she spilled oil. Idk if something big is wrong or not and I am buying this car for my teenage son. It’s a 2009 turbo
Ist picture, the crinkle in red circle is insulation on a wiring harness
2nd picture is an intercooler hose - sometimes they look like that after a while, possibly from the normal oil laden fumes that pass through them - eventually it will need to be replaced.
One question/comment - You are buying a TURBO CHARGED car for your TEENAGE SON? My teenage kids drove Volvo 240's with the throttle cables set where it would not open all the way - even then my son proudly proclaimed he got it up to 88 mph. Never wrecked it badly - did spin out in the rain and hit a bridge abutment - on his way to the early church service where he was scheduled as an altar boy (seriously). How about something for a teenage boy that does not say turbo on the back or under the hood for all of his friends will want to know how fast it is (I know not your kid, he's responsible)
I get what ur saying. But we have had a hell of a time finding a decent inexpensive car and he is 18 now so whether I want him having a turbo or not isn’t gonna matter much soon
