Ok, so, A couple weeks ago, the window was frozen up, but i was dumb and tired to put it down. At anyrate, the track went down... the window, not so much, and it crashed down a few minutes later. so it is currently duct taped up. Im trying to take the door panel off so I can get the window back on the track, but there is a hidden clip or something, and its still on. Anyone have any ideas?
i really dont wanna waste money at a dealership. Its a 2004, and can get pics/more info if you need. Thanks for any help!

Hey,
Have you removed the 8 clips around he door panel? If so you must then carefully pry off the door handle. I find a weatherstrip tool works great and does not mark the plastic. Once you have the handle off you can then remove the 2 T27 Torx screws.
Then, simply wriggle the panel free and slide up and remove the door catch (be careful the plastic tabs that hold the latch on may break and will prevent re-installation). You will also need to remove 2 connectors for the various elec components. To re-install do everything in reverse!
I hope that helps you. Please return and let us know how you get on!

Thanks alot, guys! We ended up getting the panel off. (hiding those screws was sneaky, volvo!) and fixed most of the problem. The whole window was off the track, and one of the plasted bracket/sliders was broken in a few peices. Its all back together now, and the window is functional, sorta, we just need to find one of those blue plastic peices to put in before its back to normal.

Thank you for the postings regarding door panel removal! I wanted to try to clarify one step, in case anyone else has trouble 'getting' it, like I did - the door handle that you take the cover off of to access the screws is the black one that runs vertically - window towards bottom of door. Thanks again - my opening problem is fixed for now (as long as the duck tape holds....)
