New 08 S60t Owner, Upgrade Stages, Misc Questions
I'm am a new owner of a used 08 S60 2.5t with 60k miles on it. I have a few quick questions if any one can help me out.
Is there any place I can find a recomended upgrade path and the approx hp gains? for example intake, exhaust, pressure regulator, ecu tuning, intercooler, ect.
What is the factory turbo model and what pressure does it produce in stock trim? How is the intercooler? What kind of pressure can it handle before it losses its effectiveness?
Does this car have some sort of boost sensor to protect the car from over boosting? Can you just plug a vaccum line on the sensor to up the boost with a mbc?
Stock exhaust- Free flowing for factory tuning? If I add a few more HP is it going to become a major restriction?
Is this motor an interfearance engine? If so I'm assuming 80k is the approx mileage it should be replaced?
I used to have a 91 mitsubishi eclipse turbo with that car u bolts parts on and go. Had it around 330 hp at the wheels. With these cars from what I've read an ecu tune is required for most every mod. I've been lookin at the elevate apc tuner but I was wondering if I have say for example an exhaust and intake get the tune for those mods but later decide to upgrade the turbo. Do I have to pay to get a new map every time I do a mod??
Another thing the mitsu tdo5 and this turbo look close. Is it the same? Will a mitsu 14b or 16g fit? Direct replacement? Only reason I'm asking is because I have a port matched, cryo treated 16g left over in my garage.
Does anyone know the approx "safe" boost pressure the s60 block can handle in stock trim on 92 octane?
BTW I have been using the search but some of the info I'm getting is for different years. I newest newbie when it comes to volvos, this is my first one and not sure what all changes from year to year of the same model.
Thanks for any help
