New to the forum and considering an S60 T5
Hello All. I've been toying around with buying a certified 2017/2018 S60 T5 Inscription. --- I need AWD (live in PA) and it has a lot of goodies that make this car attractive. I'm getting away from my POS Hyundai Santa fe sport. I was a Toyota guy for decades and never had a problem with them but they're getting too expensive for what I want. So here's my questions:
1---How's the short term/long term reliability?
2--Are there concerns or known problems with this model/year?
3--Are they expensive to maintain?
4--Thoughts on the extended warranty (gold or platinum).
Price for a used T5 AWD certified 2017 (certified through 4/22) is $18,400. I will either trade in my 2014 loaded SFS or give it to my daughter. The nice thing with the SFS is the engine went bad and replaced free and is guaranteed for life. But so many other things keep dropping on it---AWD system, recently replaced the alternator ($700) and other concerns. However, everything else on the car is amazing.
Anyway, thoughts and opinions are what I'm looking for. BTW, this car is for my wife...she's 5'2" and I'm 6'
