Default New to Volvo

Just helped my oldest daughter purchase a "new to her" 2007 S60 with 160K miles. Her car, not mine, and she lives in an apartment not too far away. I expect I'll be her primary contact for maintenance, which is why I joined the forum.

We already know we need to do the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, etc. in the next month or so because we simply cannot verify whether it was done on time or not. This won't be my first timing belt and water pump, and I've already researched what to get. I am also going to help her resolve the fuel door catch problem which is currently sporadic.

I'm also considering an XC90 to replace my wife's 7.3L diesel Excursion, but I'm not yet sure about that choice. My other cosiderations include the Subaru Outback, Subaru Crosstrek, Lexus GX470, Toyota 4Runner, Acura MDX, or similar... basically an entry level luxury SUV with leather, newer than 2010, less than 80K miles, and less than $18K. I'm a patient soul!

In all honesty, I'll probably be just going to be lurking until I have an issue to resolve.

Just wanted to say HI.

Pete
