New volvo s60 t5 2011/12 car issue
Hi Friends, I am from Malaysia and a new owner for VOLVO s60 T5 2011/12 CKD Malaysia just for 2 weeks
I am totally out of my mind for my **** new car list of problem
Appreciate if you can share for me the solution or do you car have this issue, LOCAL service provider is a crap
1) Front Approach/Parking sensor always give intermittent alarm without object obstruction
2) Mileage meter never shown accurate; I never seen it touch 500KM with full tank; where suppose in the given spec written driving in the city is 11.2L/100KM. Mine one with 50% fuel indicator left only travel less than 200KM or 14L/100KM or 7KM/L
3) The seat having noise (Solved)
4) I never felt the bending light function, when driving at night turn left or right never felt the light bend a bit
5) Wind noise happen even driving at 90KM/h
6) Sound proof seem not up to standard; worst than camry, jetta and even my other car tritron; Basically i can hear louder sound when a motorbike and car passing drive at normal speed compare to above two
7) Happen before on my 2nd day drive BLIS sensor give fault code "Block"
8) The engine noise even heard from inside, and can felt like dragging/pushing the engine hard when accelerate
9) Front left side believe from tyre compartment having a knocking sound when driving in bad condition or uneven road
10) Front driver touch door sensor gave intermittent failure (Solve for time being).... But i understood from a technian, this is pretty common... seem like failure rate high, what about you guy?
11) The engine part vibrate pretty much, doesn't seem to be a direct injection car... my friend camry is far more better
12) Scratch mark on the leather seat found on my 1st day of drive
13) Bluetooth connect to mobile always drop after 5 minutes and cannot reconnect (Problem solved)
FYI:
CKD is a local assembly unit; CBU is a Complete built unit from sweden
I had test drive the CBU units before make up my mind as it was a pleasant drive... smooth engine, no wind sound, quite drive... but a CKD is a total crap
Car in Malaysia are very expensive... an fresh engineer monthly paid is about RM 1800.00 or Euro 400
Camry cost about RM 150K or Euro 36K; where else VOLVO S60 cost 1/4 million Malaysia Ringgit or about EURO 60K
This is my 1st purchase such an expensive car which i expect to be good quality but turn out a pretty upset where i felt cheated
Hope to get advise from fella friends.. Do you have this problem

I bought my 2012 volvo S60 T5 fwd brand new in April 2011 in New Jersey. This car is CBU (Complete Built Unit). It's been 13 months - My average is about 30,000 miles a year due to daily commute and I get average 28/30 mpg with 93 Octane gas.
So far -
1) Bluetooth -
Sometimes it gets disconnected without a reason. I turn off the smart phone (android), and then radio - Then turn on both, search for the bluetooth device, pair up - Then it is fine.
2) Noise
* Engine noise is heard from inside as well. This is because it is 5 cyclinder turbo - not as smooth as T6 one.
* A/C noise - Time to time, in a slow speed, I experience the roaring noise. It does not do everytime. I mentioned it at the service, they checked but could not find.
3) Sunroof
There was a leakage. Although, the sunroof is not waterproof (yes, I know - I also heard first time... it was told by couple authorized volvo dealers), water goes to tray - however on mine, the rubber around the glass was not properly placed. It was replaced under warranty.
4) Check Engine Light
This is the worst of all. The check engine light (CEL) came on after 30k mile regular maintenance was done. I took it back to the dealer, they checked the code; and changed the "Leak Detection Pump" as the circuit was high. Part of the emission. It was replaced under warranty.
5) Start/ Stop
After 25k miles, the start/stop switch was broken. Instead of one quick touch, I had to hold the button until the car fully starts. The switch was replaced under warranty.
6) Engine
Experienced that, few times, certified dealers poured more engine oil than the car's capacity (way more than max level on the stick). Both were human technician error - fixed.
After the long round-trip completion, (6 hrs non-stop one way), I realized that the car consumed oil. (Only Mobil 1 Synthetic oil is used since day one). I poured same oil 1/4 of the bottle. I mentioned this to one authorized volvo dealer - the service manager could not believe that; asked me if the oil light was on..(which was not)..and asked me to check every other weekend; Great approach - pay $35k - and check your car stick every other weekend!!!! - The local mechanic told me...that was known...was not unique to my new S60!
