Default no cat exhaust question

I am starting to mod my volvo s60r and had a question, if i got no cat exhaust i know i will have a check engine light, but will it cause my vehicle to run bad because it thinks somthing wrong? or will it just be a check engine light and will run fine still?

use a 45% o2 spacer and there will be no CEL 42 Draft Designs O2 Sensor Spacer, Downpipes, Exhausts, 42 Draft Designs Products & Other Performance Aftermarket Auto Parts - North American Motorsports .. This is what may of us that use the OBX catless pipe have..

It will only throw the CEL. The rear O2's only function is to monitor the efficiency CAT.

You talking from the turbo back? It sounds like it follows the same pattern as the OEM exhaust, is that correct? And how much did you end up paying for the whole set up? Questions, questions, questions!!! Lol.

yes, i did downpipe changed it to a 3inch flexpipe, its a complete 3inch strate piped untill the muffler. the muffler where it goes into 2 small than the muffler itself than the big outer. its hard to explain but do you know what i mean?

i paid 220 bucks for it all. and i get to keep my old exhaust which has the cat and such.

Score on a great deal!
And to help with the lingo, the first "muffler" right before it turnes into the 2 pipes is called center resonator. It helps a lot with eliminating drone at cruising speeds.

so i made a custom intake from the intake box. i made 2 holes one on the bottom and one on inside the fender frame. for cold air.

Im going to get a k and n filter to help that aswell.

Long story short. i want to get my car tuned for 20psi. is that possible with 3inch exhaust and intake but thats it? is my twin intercooler strong enough to hold 20psi safely? or do i need to get a bigger front mount?

And what can of horsepower should i see? if stock is 300 what would a custom intake with two of those ram air things you showed me before with a full 3inch exhaust including downpipe. and at 20psi when stock is 14?

The intercoolers will hold the psi but it's just not very effective at cooling the charge air.
No idea what kind of power you should be seeing. These cars are all so different. Stock WHP numbers have varied from the 240's to the 270's.
The absolute best thing you should be doing is getting before and after Dynos. You really should see where you're at right now then again after the tuning.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Been a hectic few weeks with work and family!
