Noise on hard right turn?
New here, so excuse my lack of experience ... I have a 2002 S60 that I purchased used (my 4th Volvo). 63K miles, been driving fine, had it checked over and aligned by a dealer when I purchased it. Now I'm getting a clunking noise near the front left tire during and following a hard right turn. Once I straighten out, it goes away. Any ideas??? Thanks much.
Almost ready to buy my first car - an R. Is there any amount of rubbing that could be considered "normal" when making a u-turn at average speed? Or should I be thinking about steering stops already if I buy this car? Many thanks.
You replaced your steering stops?? Did that fix the problem?? I may have the same problem. Can you tell me how much the job cost you? My mechanic is telling us $67 including 2 steering stops and labor. If its that cheap, can I do this myself?? I'm pretty mechanical and do most of the work on my cars. But if this needs a 'special' tool, then I'm screwed.
Hope to hear back.

or you could just make left turns only. lol Nascar does it.
I would check a manual or maybe someone knows, but im sure there is something out there telling you how to put in steering stops
