Default Noise in motor (video link)

Im looking at picking up a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T (auto tranny) It has a couple noises that im unsure of. One you can hear aside from the whirring noise. The other is the whirring noise that doise get louder and higher pitched as you rev the motor as you will hear. Power steering pump has been replaced as well as the alternator. Im unsure of what it could be and any insight would be greatly appreciated. Ive never owned a Volvo and cant afford to get myself into something that will be expensive.

what is the level in the power steering reservoir (the one with orange on the cap). inside the reservoir, can you see/touch a 2" long plastic pipe near the top of it?

Fluid is fine. The sound appears to be more towards the rear of the motor. It seemed loudest when I got my ear around the cam gears. I cant figure out the exact origin of either sound though.

Sound to me you have the wrong power steering fluid in it, does the sound tend to be a little lower when it warms up?

Also open the oil cap and see if the sound is any different, its nice to hear the video but sucks that no matter how many times I listen to it I can't pin point where the sound is coming from. Whats the temperature outside where your at?

Its around 20 degrees fahrenheit here. No difference with oil cap open. Sound seems to be coming from a little to the right of the cam gears toward the firewall. I cant be 100% sure though. You can hear a background noise too. Kind of a metallic grind/tap (sounds kind of like a diesel a lil bit). The sound that changes with the rpms is audible at idle after warm up as well and gets louder and higher pitched as you rev it. The car needs tires and whatever the issue is dealt with. 144k on it and I can pick it up for 1500. I just cant afford a expensive mess if it needs something major.

Im not sure what the guy put in. I dont own the car. I can buy it on the cheap side but I dont want to mess with it unless I have an idea what the noise is from. The one that sounds like the pump is not the biggest worry. Its the clunky type noise you hear in the background.

RGuy here. Could be a bearing on one of the pulleys that the serpentine belt is lashed around. Good luck!

How old is the timing belt & parts? Sounds like a bad idler bearing.
