AWD swap
I have a 2002 s60 2.4 base and I'm looking to make it AWD. I heard you can take the components from an xc90. If anyone has advice or experience it would be very appreciated. Not trying to buy a new car so please don't say that... Looking for a full list of needed parts and maybe some directions. Thank you in advance
I have a manual and there arent manuals in the awd model. even if there was I want to keep mycar. I know it isn't cheap I'm just asking for what i need not should i buy another car..
What is your budget? So far, you've asked about a few projects and I'm guessing none have gotten done.
You have a non-turbo S60 and you want a faster car with AWD and manual transmission.
What you want is an S60R.

It isn't about how much if costs its about how to do it that's it. I'm not buying an s60r because ten thousand dollars doesn't fall from the sky
Off the top of my head, you would need an angle gear, prop shaft, RF driveshaft, rear differential, rear driveshafts, rear hubs, differential carrier. Possibly a different transmission and maybe some other rear suspension items.
Also, your car isn't wired for a DEM, so you'd have to figure that out. And even with wires, it isn't programmed for it.
And after all that, you have an AWD car with a non-turbo engine. But I see you are asking about an engine swap again too. So then you swap to a turbo engine, for which you would need the intercooler. And the ECM, which isn't going to communicate with your existing network. We can't help with that at a dealer but there might be an aftermarket tuning place that can help.
Or, sell your car and buy an R. You are in way over your head.
