Default odd dash light problem

Good morning all. Recently I acquired an 02 S60 2.4 NA and last night I noticed the hi-beam indicator , along with the key-in chime not working after i drove about 1/2 hour. This morning both the key chime and hi-beam light were working until I drove about 20 mins. It some how seems to be related to the temp. gauge. When the gauge is cold the lights and buzzer(also seat belt chime) all work, but when the needle gets about 1/3 they all stop working. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had this or similar gremlins.? Thanks for any input.

Also check when this happens if the turn signals work and if the wipers only have one speed.

yes, everything works , hi-beams, lo-beams , blinkers, wipers, just the blue hi-beam indicator key-in and seatbelt buzzer don't work. the red triangle that lights up with the key in and door open also works. probably won't ever figure it out and it doesn't seem to be causing any other problems. i don't know but maybe a ground is being lost? i don't have a wiring dia. so i don't know what else might be on that part of the harness. thanks for your reply.

It might also be a software problem.
I would say to maybe wait and see if it causes anymore problems.

about the seatbelt chime... should it be on ALL the time when the driver is not wearing a belt? Because mine goes off after about 5-10 seconds.

I found a wire dia. online and it seems all the items involved go to the DIM ( dash instrument module) and there is also a CAN loop. I did try and "thump" the top of the dash last night and hibeam indicator came on? but only for a short time. Oh well I'll keep looking at the wire dia. and ..... thanks

Before I destroy the dash, does anyone know how the thing comes apart on an S60 to get behind the instruments? Thanks.

If I remember correctly the black besel just pulls out. Then there is 4 screws holding the cluster into the dash. Then it will slide out.
