I have to say I'm very disappointed in Volvo's customer service at the moment. We have an early build V60 whose owner's manual doesn't show anything about the Drive-E system. I know the newer versions have the manual preloaded but this car doesn't have that.
After getting the runaround from both the dealer we purchased the car from and a dealer we had it serviced at, I called Volvo this morning and was basically told "too bad, so sad" but if you'd like to buy a manual, we'd be glad to send you a coupon for 20% off. A $40k+ car and that's the response I get? What a crock.
We have been considering the new XC-90 plug-in hybrid but if this is Volvo's idea of customer service, we might have to reconsider. I know it sounds like a small thing but just give me what every other car owner expects and that's a manual that show's what's in the car. For example, when the car was a month old, I thought I'd check the oil level. After wasting an hour and going by the manual which does show a dipstick, I figured out through the help of this forum that the Drive-E engine doesn't actually have a dipstick and what's shown in the manual is a different engine.
