Hi guys, my wife’s 2007 S60 needs reverse sensors as she has a bad neck. Having read somewhere that you could fit the sensors and control unit from a same aged vehicle then have the software installed by Volvo. I bought the parts, including a rear bumper with sensors, to be told by Volvo that they didn’t think it would work and at £100 I didn’t want to take the risk. My question is could I fit an aftermarket kit but still use the original Volvo sensors that I’ve already fitted?

 

I feel like a backup camera would be much easier and less expensive.
