Default Passenger cabin filter -

I have a new-to-me 2015 v60 and for the sake of keeping up with things, would like to change out the cabin anti-pollen filter.
1- where is it? I've taken off the cover below the windshield and found no filter, but i Did find the standard starter battery AND a Motorcycle Battery (wired as though it belonged there!!!???) I also removed the plastic covers left and right of the center console, which revealed the Behr air-handling box, but no apparent accesses.
2- How often should it be replaced?
3- Does it really exist?

I Wish there was a repair/maintenance manual for these cars.
I've had one for every car I ever owned.

Ideas?

Photos look very similar to 2015.
Will give it a try.
Thanks!

Yes- essentially same procedure as mt6127 posted.
I was frustrated trying to see/feel how to remove the electrical box blocking the filter cover.
I gave a sudden YANK from the top and it came right off, breaking nothing (surprise!).
The spring action in the white steel baseplate the box was attached to is apparently designed to allow this!
