Default PCV Breather assembly

Putting my s60 back together I notice the small 6" plastic hose on the PCV breather hose assembly was broken. Looking around all I see is the whole assembly for sale and it is not cheap. Seems like a lot for a 6" plastic hose.

Has anyone else used anything else, like a rubber hose to fix this?

Thank you.

The hose you are talking about has a ****** nipple on each end. Just find another hose like the broken one and put it in. You may need a couple of wire hose clamps to add as a precaution from hose coming loose. Be sure to check the rest of your breather system for stoppage. If stopped up real bad and you are not getting air flow through your block you may have to drop your oil pan and clean out the air ports. The black breather box located under the left side of the intake manifold would be the culprit. That and that little hose you have already found. Good luck.

Try part number 30731007 T6 part, the hose is slightly longer than the stock S60, but it will fit according to FCP (and their video).

I just got through doing my own T5 with the 400+ buck rebuild kit. I'd go the cheaper route and save the cost of the pipe (and the frigging hassle of putting it on!)

Cheers!
