Purchased 2003 S60 AC not working.
Hello everyone! Hope to get a bit of advise, great forum, done quite a bit of reading already. Priceless really!
I just purchased the car, Naturally aspirated btw. The previous owner said he took it into find out the A/C issue and was told it required a new ECU. Could this be correct? If so i had no idea the AC was controlled by it.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Now the AC units are expensive to buy new /rebuild but the salvage yards are full of them and at $75 its worth the try. They pretty simple to replace your self or a 3hr job at most shops.
Is the AC making any noise when it is on and clutch in engaged ? when you turn it on does the clutch engage ? You should be able to hear it when it kicks in. The car will idle a little different..
