Rear wheel slip

Rear wheel slip
I have a 2006 S60 AWD. I have noticed recently that, when I pull ouT from a stop, the right rear wheel spins really badly. ONLY THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL.
I thought that the traction control/AWD system should be preventing this. I have Cooper tires on the car and there is still a lot of tread left on them. The tires are relatively hard, compared to Michelins or Pirellis, so this may have something to do with the problem. Do any of you experts have any experience with this? Is this a problem with the computer or the drive system?
Any feedback would be most welcome.
