Default Rearview mirror replacement - auto dimming to manual

So I'm switching out my original rearview mirror that was auto dimming (liquid leaked out and looks like crap)
and wanted to go with a manual dimmer, but I see now the manual one doesn't have those two red wires. Do I need them to have the key fob functional or can I just get rid of them?

Left is auto dim board, right is manual board

Those wires power the electrochromatic (self dimming) mirror glass -

I trust you understand you have to stick your old UEM to the used manual glass if you want the remote to work. I use a wallpaper knife to carefully cut them off the back of the glass.

Sweet, i was hoping thats the case, not a fan of auto dim! Yeah im going to put original auto dim board behind manual mirror, just wasn't sure if those red wires not being connected would disable whole board. I would have just plugged it in to check but the guy who sold me the car lost the key fob so I have to get a new on eventually. Thanks for the info!
