Default Mirror Swap out

I have a 1993 240 DL with a cracked mirror, and a 89 240 that I can use for parts. The 93 has power (and I think heated?) mirrors, and the 89 has manual adjusted mirrors. I'd like to use the 89's mirror to replace the cracked 93 mirror (just the glass bit). Any tips? I saw a video for replacing a 740 manual mirror, but that screw driver trick doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough? Will the glass and backing on the power mirror be compatible with that of the manual?

I am quite the DIY repair newbie beyond changing the oil, but I'm excited to learn more. This seemed like a manageable first step...

the glass and mirror backing will work on the heated system. it'll be difficult to get off without breaking, but you can warm it up with a heat gun and try to listen the adhesive tape

or buy one for $11
